Gardiner Investments was established in 2018 to manage family assets after the sale of Pan Reliance Capital Advisors. It invests as a principal rather than as a manager of third-party money, which allows for long holding periods, concentrated positions and involvement well beyond the cheque.

Thirty years spent in origination, underwriting, distribution and special situations inform the way opportunities are assessed: structure before story, downside before upside, and a clear view of who is on the other side of the table. Where the firm takes a position, it will often take a seat as well.
